04 Oct Emmet – Chalmers Firefighters Host Fire Prevention Week Kickoff
MACOMB, IL — Sunday, October 4 was the start of Fire Prevention Week. Location matters when it comes to your smoke alarm. That’s the message behind this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Hear the Beep Where You Sleep. Every Bedroom Needs a Working Smoke Alarm!”
Emmet – Chalmers Firefighters hosted a kickoff event with fire trucks on display, activities for children and informational items for parents. Firefighters educated kids and parents alike about fire safety, what to do in an emergency, and showed off some of the equipment that the firefighters use.
