27 Nov Emmet-Chalmers Firefighters to Help Santa Claus Collect for Families in Need
MACOMB, IL – Emmet – Chalmers Firefighters will be collecting items for families in need on Saturday, December 5. Starting at 1:00pm, the firefighters will be chauffeuring Santa Claus on their fire trucks as he visits the Georgetown and Meadowbrook subdivisions.
Santa’s arrival will be announced by the sirens of the fire trucks. He will greet everyone and stop for photos.
During Santa’s travels, firefighters will be collecting non-perishable food items, new toys and clothing to be donated to families in need. Items to be donated can be left near the front door.
At about 4:00pm, Firefighters will take Santa to the Firehouse located at 3041 West Adams Road for anyone that missed Santa.
“This event has really snowballed over the last few years. The response is tremendous. Everyone really enjoys it and we are able to collect a lot to help families in need,” says Fire Chief David Estes.
