29 Nov Emmet-Chalmers Firefighters to Help Santa Claus Collect for Families in Need
MACOMB, IL – Emmet – Chalmers Firefighters will be collecting items for families in need on Saturday, December 7, 2019. Santa will first stop at the Georgetown Clubhouse at noon. Santa will meet and greet with people at the clubhouse until about 1:00pm. The firefighters will then chauffeur Santa Claus on his sleigh as he visits the Georgetown and Meadowbrook subdivisions.
Santa’s arrival will be announced by the sirens of the fire trucks. He will greet everyone and stop for photos.
During Santa’s travels, firefighters will be collecting non-perishable food items, new toys and clothing to be donated to families in need. Items to be donated can be left near the front door.
“This event has become a favorite of the firefighters. Who doesn’t like to spend time with Santa Claus as he spreads holiday cheer. The community enjoys it and we are able to collect a lot to help families in need,” says Fire Chief David Estes.
