25 Years of Leadership

25 Years of Leadership

This week, Emmet – Chalmers Firefighters celebrated the 25th anniversary of Chief David Estes and Assistant Chief Matt Kipling’s leadership. Both were appointed to their respective roles on April 13, 2000, and have remained steadfast in their commitment to serving the community.

Reflecting on the milestone, Chief Estes shared, “It has been a pleasure to serve the community and work with these great firefighters. I’m especially grateful to have worked alongside Matt these past 25 years.”

Assistant Chief Kipling added, “It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years. Serving this department and community has been a great honor.”

Over the past 25 years, under their leadership, the department has seen significant changes —including the acquisition of four new apparatus, an expansion of the fire station, numerous upgrades to gear and equipment, and substantial improvements in technology. These advancements have enabled the department to better serve the community and ensure the safety of all.
